Opening a Cash Register
When cashiers begin their morning shift, they are prompted to enter their Opening Cash Float (the initial cash balance in the register drawer for providing change). Once submitted, the terminal becomes active.
Barcode Scanning & Weighing Scale Sync
- Rapid Scan: Simply point the barcode scanner at any item. Munim POS detects the product in 0.3 seconds, updates the cart, and automatically aggregates duplicate scans into quantity counts.
- Electronic Weighing Scale (RS232): Place loose items (grains, fruits, vegetables) on your serial weighing scale. The live net weight is automatically transferred to the POS line item with zero manual typing errors.
- Search by SKU or Name: Type the first 3 letters of any product name or brand to select it instantly with arrow keys.

Multiple Payment Modes (Split Tender)
Munim POS allows customers to split payments across multiple methods for a single invoice (e.g. ₹500 in Cash + ₹1,500 via Google Pay / UPI + ₹1,000 on Credit Card). Each mode is recorded individually for accurate daily cash register reconciliation.
