The 3-Stage Transfer Workflow
1 Dispatch from Source Location
Go to Stock Transfers → Add Stock Transfer. Select the sending location (e.g. Central Logistics Warehouse) and destination branch (e.g. Promenade Mall Counter). Add items and quantities. Upon saving, stock is immediately deducted from the warehouse and assigned the status In-Transit.
2 In-Transit Protection (Anti-Theft Locking)
While goods are in transit in the delivery van, they are digitally locked. They cannot be sold at the dispatch location, nor can they be sold at the destination store before arrival. This completely prevents phantom inventory and ghost sales.
3 Inward Barcode Scan Verification & Final Reconciliation
When the delivery reaches the destination store, the store manager opens the transfer order and scans each item barcode to verify counts. Any damaged or missing items are recorded as variance with full accountability. Once marked Completed, the destination store inventory is updated instantly.
